On first sight, the rooms looked pretty old but turned out to be very clean and modern, leading to an extremely quiet and restful night's sleep. The hostel-style setting might not be for everyone, but overall a comfortable stay.
Rooms
8.0
The rooms are very clean and modern, surprisingly quiet for a peaceful night's rest, though resembling more a room in hostels than a normal hotel room.
Service
9.0
The service, despite the busy Festival period, was super helpful and friendly. However, the slightly hidden entrance might cause a minor confusion.
Location
10.0
The location is excellent, very close to Waverley train station and a short walk to Edinburgh Castle. Situated in a converted office and print works of the Old Scotsman, right off the Royal Mile for easy exploration of Edinburgh.
Dining
8.0
The breakfast was sustaining, lovely if the timing aligns, good value for money with cooked-to-order options available.
Facilities
7.0
Facilities are cozy and well-kept, with a warm and welcoming breakfast staff. However, some minor issues noted with the radiators.

The hotel offered a mix of experiences, with really nice and quiet rooms but hindered by some noise. The location was exceptional, right in the heart of Edinburgh, though dining was a bit hit or miss with pricing concerns. The service was efficient and helpful, making our stay ideal.

The rooms were really nice and really quiet, though the view was on the rooftop and the bathroom setup was unpractical with a tiny lavabo.

The hotel is located over the city shops close by and visitor attractions, offering a great city experience. Although the special bathroom for disabled people was inconvenient for non-disabled guests, the sauna provided a relaxing feature even with the radiator off.
Rooms
6.0
The room was definitely too small for 2 people, which may not suit everyone's needs.
Service
9.0
The service was excellent, with staff going above and beyond, even recognizing multiple reservations without issues.
Location
9.0
The location is arguably the best in town, being within walking distance to key city attractions and transportation hubs.

The dining options, including smaller breakfast choices, were satisfactory but not exceptional.

The hotel is perfectly situated right on the Royal Mile, offering convenient access to all major sites and Rabbies Tours at 7am. The rooms, though not particularly spacious, provide a cozy retreat within the bustling hotel environment. The service from all staff members was exceptionally helpful and friendly, ensuring a pleasant stay. While the location is ideal for exploring both old and new town Edinburgh, it can be a bit challenging to regulate room temperature. The breakfast dining experience, except for a few shortcomings, was quite expensive. Overall, a well-located hotel with friendly staff and cozy rooms.
